Van Gogh Alive

Commence entry into the exhibition. Created by Grande Exhibitions, Van Gogh Alive gives visitors the unique opportunity to immerse themselves into Van Gogh’s artistry and truly venture into his world. From start to finish, visitors are surrounded by a vibrant symphony of light, colour, sound and fragrance that has been called an ‘unforgettable’ multi-sensory experience. Van Gogh’s masterpieces come to life, giving visitors the sensation of walking right into his paintings, a feeling that is simultaneously enchanting, entertaining and educational.

Van Gogh Alive is not an art exhibition in the traditional sense. It is an immersive multimedia art experience which combines high definition projections of Van Gogh’s paintings with digital surround sound. Imagery and animations are projected at a scale that offers visitors the ability to see the details of the artists work like never before. More than 3,000 images transform each surface. However, there is no physical work by Vincent Van Gogh on display.

Hamilton

Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and roadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre – a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics and education.

Hailed by critics as “a reinvention of the musical” – Chicago Tribune and “a singular work of brilliance.” – Rolling Stone, HAMILTON has gone from theatrical rebel to cultural phenomenon.

A revolution is coming. Be there when it happens

Muriel’s Wedding Musical with Kings Coaches

Limited Departures – Avoid disappointment  Book Now Muriel's Wedding with Kings Coaches

Muriel Heslop is back! In this highly-anticipated world premiere, the iconic Australian film is set to become an equally iconic laugh-out-loud musical.

Stuck in a dead-end life in Porpoise Spit, Muriel dreams of the perfect wedding – the white dress, the church, the attention. Unfortunately, there’s one thing missing. A groom. Following her dreams to Sydney, Muriel ends up with everything she ever wanted – a man, a fortune and a million Twitter followers. That’s when things start to go really wrong.

The film’s original writer-director PJ Hogan has updated his screenplay into a dazzling new stage show, bringing the story into the present but keeping all the irreverence and naughtiness of the film along with its dark edge.

There will, of course, be a bunch of the beloved ABBA hits that so beautifully embody Muriel’s hopes and dreams, as well as an incredible soundtrack of addictive new songs. Director Simon Phillips (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead) leads a stellar creative team, with eye-popping sets and costumes from Gabriela Tylesova (Love Never Dies) and original music by award-winning singer-songwriters Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall. With a big cast and a live band, this will be the theatre event of the year. Tickets won’t last long. Don’t miss out.
Content warning: adult themes, sexual references and strong language. Parental discretion advised.

My Fair Lady – The Musical Sydney

My Fair Lady

bookings

BACK DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND!
In the show’s 60th anniversary year, Opera Australia and John Frost join forces to honour the past and bring the beloved story of Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins to a new generation of theatre audiences.
The Cinderella story about the Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle and the appealingly arrogant phoneticist, Professor Higgins, is an endearing tale that charms audiences with its warmth and vivid characters.
The clash of cultures sparks some of the theatre’s most jubilant songs and witty dialogue.  The triumphant score features unforgettable numbers including ‘Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?’, ‘On the Street Where You Live’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’, and ‘Get Me to the Church on Time’.
In 1956, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s masterful retelling of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion took the world by storm. Playing the irresistible Eliza Doolittle was a young Julie Andrews, in only her second role on Broadway, a role that would catapult her into international stardom.
In a world first, Dame Julie Andrews will direct a glorious production of My Fair Lady, teaming up with the Tony Award-winning Christopher Gattelli and associates of the musical’s original designers, Cecil Beaton and Oliver Smith.
A stellar cast of Australian theatre royalty and emerging talent will be showcased in this truly momentous production.
This is a theatre event not to be missed.
